Bay Village Softball is part of the Emerald Necklace League!
Bay Village Softball is entering its second year as a part of the Emerald Necklace Softball League! The Emerald Necklace Softball League has a longstanding tradition of inclusivity, fun, and competition, and we can’t wait to add to its legacy. Our goal this season is to build teams made up of passionate players of all skill levels, united by a love for the game and the values of sportsmanship. We’re here to play hard, improve our skills, and make lasting connections. We are looking forward to an exciting season of competition, camaraderie, and community, and we are thrilled to bring the Bay Village spirit to the diamond!
Season Details:
- Season Length: Mid-May (after middle and high school softball seasons) through end of July
- Games: Approximately 14-18 games per season (half home, half away)
- Opponents: Teams from Cuyahoga and Lorain counties
- Practices: Indoor practices 1X/week starting in January. We will move to outdoor once the weather breaks in the Spring.
- Age Eligibility: Spring/Summer 2026 team placement will be based on player age as of 9/1/2025.
- Equipment Needs: All girls should have their own glove, cleats, batting helmet, and bat, facemask for pitchers. Facemasks are optional for infielders.
- Cost: Roughly $400/player to cover team and league fees, umpire fees, uniforms, and other costs. Teams can choose to off-set some of this cost through fundraising.
In Association with Bay Girls Softball Club
To create a cohesive youth softball experience in Bay Village, the Bay Girls Softball Club (BGSC) is the partner organization to the Bay Travel Softball Association. This year, girls selected for the Travel Softball team will NOT need to participate in the Bay Girls Softball Club regular season.
